The Basilica Cistern, Istanbul

The Basilica Cistern is an underground lair smack in the middle of Istanbul, Turkey and just steps from Hagia Sophia. In this travel photo, I walked to the other side of the building to get a clear shot of the water and pillars. I did not shoot with a flash but anchored myself to the railing to keep the slow moving shutter from blurring the image.
