This image was taken on a research trip in northern Mongolia by Jess and Turuu of Eternal Landscapes. Lake Khovsgol is in the background, the foreground is dominated by an ‘Ovoo’ (a sacred stone shrine) with the blue prayer scarves (Khadags) representing the ‘Eternal Blue Sky’.
It was a glorious day in a glorious wild region of high mountains and nomads.
