Dominoes in Barbados

Dominoes is an extremely popular game in Barbados and there are several clubs all over the island. I joined in one night at the Whist and Hearts Club, where some friendly Barbadians taught me how to play the Bajan version of bones. It’s a lightning speed sport and players slap down their dominoes like thunderclaps. I shot almost an entire roll of film trying to capture the speed of the game and the blur of the players’ hands.
