This travel photo shows statues lining the lower tier of Wat Arun Rajwararam, a Buddhist temple translated as “Temple of the Dawn” in Bangkok Thailand. These Yaksha, or “Demons Supporting the Prang” (a Khmer style spire), were captured using a Nikon P80. As this is a far less visited temple than many others in Bangkok, the sparse crowds made it easy to imagine this sacred space predated the establishment of Bangkok as a city.
