Crowded Around Winged Victory in the Louvre, France

Here’s another travel photo taken in the Louvre in Paris, France. As I walked up the stairs in the midst of the huge crowd with the Winged Victory in front of us, I was caught up in the mad frenzy to photograph it (just like everyone else), but it was only after I had reached the top of the stairs and walked around to the opposite side of the landing that I was able to truly appreciate it’s beauty (and magnitude). It struck me that all the people beneath this amazing piece of art were looking at it through their cameras (as I had done just minutes before) but few of them probably ever took a moment to realize how breathtaking it really is.
