Reintroducing “Camera Talk”

Reintroducing “Camera Talk”

So this is the story I wrote about five years ago introducing In The Know Traveler’s answer in getting the best travel photos.

It’s sort of funny how things happen. All I wanted was an outlet to write more than the 800 words and two pictures that most editors wanted after my travel assignments. Then I started In The Know Traveler with a buddy. Things have blossomed. I had never expected that this site would cover so many different aspects of travel and receive such good support from writers, readers, and the travel industry alike. Of course, travel covers so many different aspects, so what else could I expect. This new section that you are now reading will become a regularly updated part of In The Know Traveler’s presentation located at the top of our home page. Consider this our blog. Within it, we will cover some of the most important and basic travel related info, decipher why many of us are almost addicted to exploring the world, and answer questions about what we have learned, which includes: photography, gear, and practical experience for the traveler. We’re going to call it ITKT News with an additional feature called Camera Talk at ITKT — okay so not the snappiest of titles. There are more ideas in the works as well.

Of course, we will continue to present relevant features stories and original photography, news, tour information, the best in golf, gaming and cuisine, and regularly adding new destinations from around the world.

As always, we are still interested in your voice, questions, and experience. Feel free to contact us at editor [at] intheknowtraveler {dot} com.

As time has worn on Camera Talk has evolved and changed and the value of having a new site entirely dedicated to travel photography. Over the next couple of months I will be moving all of ITKT’s original, and helpful, stories about getting the most out of your camera while traveling will be added her. We will also be adding new articles, by new writers in the coming months.

Devin Galaudet is the Editor-in-Chief of In The Know Traveler and several other popular web sites. His freelance work can also be seen in the Huffington Post, Technorati, and TravelAge West among others.
